The 54th annual Grammy Awards ceremony may have been over shadowed with a solemn tone due to the passing of the celebrated and talented Whitney Housten, but I think it is safe to say the late legend would have been appalled by some of the stylist choices for the event.
Katy Perry, bless her heart, hosted the MTV music awards in not one, but FOUR of the worst outfits to grace our screens. For one look, she chose to go for the 'yellow cube on head' style that is all the rage in... Tetris. Paired with garish pink top and geometric skirt, she was literally a sight for sore eyes. In another attempt to wow, she donned a sequined number, complete with tacky record discs attached, and matching headwear of course. Someone needs to sack their stylist...
Just to show that even the best can have a lapse moment, Rihanna showed up to the 2011 Brit Awards in London in what can only be described as some form of fancy dress. The dress came equip with a huge bottom skirt in vivid blue, a train that looked like it was stolen from a wedding dress and dyed blue to match, a sickly lime green bow at the waist, and a purple print corset top half, and to top it all off her signature bright red hair. I know, you couldn't make it up if you tried could you?
In true Lady Gaga fashion, the craziest princess of pop went all out as usual, kitted from head to toe in PVC and what looked like fishing net. Much like most of her outrageous fashion choices, it caused a stir alright, but not in a good way. Although attention seeker Gaga seems to lap it up, no matter whether its good or bad.
Jessie J looked like she was more ready for a workout that a red carpet awards ceremony at 2011's TV Week Logie Awards hosted in Melbourne's Crown Palladium. The singer wore a black leotard stripy tights, with a sheer netting over the whole ensemble. And why not throw a touch of fur in there just for good measure.
