A Look Into Bulk Scarves

By Flora Vinson

Many people wear bulk scarves especially when the weather does not agree with loose thin clothing. When it is chilly outside people will result to wearing heavy clothes which retain heat within the body and prevent losses in body heat to the atmosphere. There are many climates in the world but all at some point will turn frosty, necessitating the use of scarfs.

The scarf is referred to as a piece of clothing worn around the neck and is used to cover the chest and facial areas so as to provide warmth and keep colds and flu away when the weather is chilly. The fabric is mostly heavy like wool or thick cotton.

The scarf traces its history back to the times of the ancient Roman Empire when the country was large and powerful. The designers of the day created this piece of wear first as a simple cloth that was used for the purposes of wiping off sweat from the skin when it grew hot.

Another ancient civilization who had begun using the scarf is the Chinese. They had however attached some sentimental value to the cloth as it was used to identify soldiers of warrior rank in the Chinese military. No one else could wear this cloth apart from those charged to do so. Croatians later adopted the Chinese method in their military.

The scarf, during ancient times, was not used by women at all. In fact, this piece of cloth was frowned upon as it was of no real use. This is until fashion took over and became important in the society. Designers sprang up and revolutionized the scarf to allow both sexes to wear and adorn themselves in it.

It is only recently that the men have taken to wearing the scarf again after a long time in absentia. Scarves are now found and made in all manner of sizes and texture and materials. They are mostly made for keeping warm, but some are made for decorative purposes such as silk bulk scarves.
