The Meaning Behind Turban Colors

Turbans are used by nations around the desert areas, but also all over the world. However, these are also used as special attire for those of specific religions and races. There are a wide variety of turban colors available across nations and regions.

The idea behind the hues and shades is sometimes symbolic. However, for the most part, these are just a matter of personal preference. Most of the modern men would wear the darker colors as they can easily match it with their wardrobes, especially in the business world.

When it comes to this apparel, there are no rules as to what the hues are that you wear. The color would sometimes show the degrees of rank and also race. The lighter blue ones are often worn to appeal to the head chakra.

White would often be worn to extend the aura and will also function as protection. Sikh ministers or teachers often wear navy and royal blue turbans. They wear these as signs of protection. It is also what the warriors would have worn in times of war.

Sikhs everywhere, across the world, wear saffron orange. There is no specific meaning connected to this. It can, however, be related to wisdom and knowledge. Different hues and shades are not always worn for a specific purpose. The sole reason for wearing it would simply be for its look.

They would accomplish this by matching their outfits with their headgear. This is especially popular in the business world where suits are worn. These are therefore mostly black or dark blue. Some men do go out of their way to have the suit color match exactly.

There are varied hues and shades that it could be a matter of anything goes. It can be so as those in the military would even go as far as to wear camouflage ones. People in the different spheres of life would choose whatever they feel like wearing on a particular day, no matter what the color.

The bright ones and hues of different ones are just as popular. These are worn with a sense of pride and joy. By looking at the wearing of the turban in general, the color, the design and the pattern is not an issue.

The matter of how it is worn is seen in the choices made. That is, they would wear it as a way of indicating integrity, ethics, discipline, spirituality, honesty and humility. Men wear it as part of their outfits on a daily basis.

Muslims feel that white is sacred or holy. The reason is that the prophet Mohammed wore it. They would additionally wear green. Muslim men, however, do not always wear a turban when in Western countries.

In the desert areas of the Northern parts of the African continent, men wear it to protect their faces against the sand. Here the bright blue ones are fashionable as it represents the coolness of water. They do believe that it is cooler in the desert heat. All nations wear turban colors, however, but it is not necessarily focused on meaning.
