Tie A Turban And Look Classy

By Cathy Mercer

It looks good when you see others wearing it. It looks complicated to tie and look neat. Yes, it is the turban we are talking about. While many people wear one for religious, cultural or sentimental reasons, many others wear it on special occasions only. If you fall into the category of the latter, your skills at tying one may not be that polished. You may, in fact, need to be guided on how to tie a turban. Here are some tips on how you can go about it.

You have a few options before you before the big day. You could get a professional to tie it for you, and surprise everyone around with your immaculately done head gear. Alternatively, you could take lessons on doing it by yourself and perfect the art a few days ahead of the actual day of the celebration.

If you ask for the help of someone who knows how to tie a turban very well, they would be adequate in doing it for you. If it is someone who has been wearing and making others wear turban for long, they would know the art perfectly well. The best bet would be to ask a friend or someone in the family to help you.

While this is a splendid option for you, you could also choose to learn to tie it yourself. While this may seem like a daunting task at first, if you are truly enthusiastic about it, you might just have a little bit of fun along the way.

It is one thing to learn with your teacher. It is another to practice once back at home, and in your room. Do remember to do so, nevertheless. You could practice standing in front of the mirror so that you can see how well or badly you are doing it. You may need to repeat and keep tying and untying the turban several times over a period of many days, before you begin to get it right. However, do not lose heart. Patience is the key to success.

If you show it to a friend or family member, make sure to get their opinion to improvise and improve. This will ensure that on the final day on which you need to wear it, it looks as though a seasoned person has tied it.

It is advisable to follow the advice of these people who wish you. Once you have started to learn how to wear it, keep it on for at least a few hours inside the house itself. If you have it on as you eat meals, walk around from one room to another and talk to other people, it will allow you comfort and ease. This, in turn, will ensure you do not begin to feel awkward or uncomfortable on the actual day of the event or function.

Learning to tie a turban is quite an art. Once learnt, it can even turn into a talent or interest. Therefore, if you have even the slightest interest in donning such gear, do not hesitate much regarding wearing it. Wearing such head gear, after all, lends a rather regal and sophisticated aura to any gentleman.
