Investment Into Youth Program Pays Off for Tucker, Level 5 Motorsports

By Edward Booker

Should Dustin Renteria hit the big time in motocross racing in the future, he'll have Level 5 Motorsports' Scott Tucker, for one, to thank for it.

A three-time national sports car racing champion, Tucker and Level 5 Motorsports have given the nine-year-old Renteria's young racing career a huge boost over the past two seasons. Through the help of Tucker and Level 5, Renteria has been provided with financial and marketing assistance, which has allowed him to burst onto the national scene as one of the top up-and-coming young motocross riders.

"The kids we have helped are simply ones that I crossed paths with," said Tucker, a standout driver in the American Le Mans Series, the Ferrari Challenge Series, the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup Series and the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series. "I'm a fan of motorsports, and, obviously, I don't know how long my driving career is going to last."

"I'm a fan of motorsports, and, obviously, I don't know how long my driving career is going to last."

Renteria, who turned nine in May, began his motocross career in 2008 at age six and has been winning races and competing for titles since then. He has collected numerous podium finishes and multiple championships while participating at venues around the western United States. He rides a 2010 Cobra King.

"Scott continues to help us with the best possible equipment to race with, be it suspension-wise or motor-wise," said Renteria's father, Dusty. "Scott and Level 5 have been a tremendous blessing for our family. He has helped us in so many aspects of Dustin's racing program. We're grateful for all he has done for us."

Dustin Renteria has raced in several different classes in 2011, and had posted 40 victories through September 11. He primarily races in his home state of California, but has begun to attract national attention with his results.

"The caliber of racers on the West Coast, even at this young age, is tremendous," Dusty Renteria said. "With a lot of these kids, their parents don't work and are involved with their racing careers full time. That's why we're so glad to have someone like Scott involved with Dusty. If it weren't for him, I know Dustin wouldn't be nearly as far along as he is."
