Individuals Who Don The Head Turban

A head turban consists of a piece of cloth that is worn on the hair.. The cloth is normally tied around the hair in a certain fashion. Some people find it easier to buy coverings that come ready made, so that they can simply slip them on and avoid the trouble of having to manually tie them. The covering is popularly seen as part of a man's attire, though in some instances women are also allowed to wear them. This covering is widely acceptable in various cultures.

The Kurds wear these coverings. The piece of cloth is normally worn around a cone shaped hat. The turbans normally have some tassels which are allowed to hang down from the coverings. The Kurds wear either red or white coverings.

The coverings forms part of the national dress of the people in Afghanistan. The coverings are normally worn in a variety of styles and colors. The patterns, lengths and fabric used to make the coverings vary depending on the ethnic group wearing it. In some parts of the country, the covering is wrapped loosely and is large in size. While in other parts of the country the coverings are tied more tightly and are smaller.

Individuals who wear the coverings are respected in India. Most people will present an honorable guest with a covering as a sign of their respect for the guest. Elders tend to wear white coverings. The color of the cloth chosen will be determined by the event that one is attending. Pink is generally associated with weddings or Spring time.

The trend of wearing the coverings has picked up in western nations. Most of the people who wear them see the coverings as a fashion item. Other people wear them so as to cover their hair when they are experiencing hair loss or when their hair is not in good condition. Wearing this coverings makes an individual to be easily distinguished since the coverings are not worn by many people.

Men in the Islamic religion tend to wear these coverings. Most of them wear it due to what it represents. It is thought that the founding father of the religion wore a black or white covering, so most of his followers picked up on this trend. The women wear what can be considered an equivalent of these coverings. The women covering is known as the hijab and is worn in a different style to that worn by men.

In the Sikh religion, it is a must for all the men to wear the covering. This is what is used to identify them. The major function of the covering is to protect the hair of an individual. This is given the fact that Sikh men never cut their hair and beards from birth. The covering helps them to easily manage their hair and keep it clean.

Christians and Rastafarian's are another group of people who wear a head turban. Only a small section of Christians wear the covering as their faith does not require them to put on the coverings. Rastafarian's who are committed to their beliefs tend to keep their hair in the form of dreadlocks. The coverings are used to cover the dreadlocks as most of them grow long.
