This years Artivist Award Honoree is Kristen Bell, famous for her films (Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Burlesque) and her television work asVeronica Mars, as well as her charity (Alzheimer's Organisation, CARE, Invisible Children, PETA, SCPA, and so on.).
Kristen, who has been a serious vegetarian since she was 11, has a life of experience working with charitable and NGO causes. While she was a student at Long Island University she volunteered with doctors in Brazil . While she was working in one underprivileged community Kristen helped deliver two babies. When she lived in Michigan she fostered animals for the Michigan Humanitarian Society, and she's now a champion of the San Diego based Helen Woodward Animal Center.
She could be a unswerving counsel forInvisible Children, an organisation of young people who work to make cognizance of the plight of the child-soldiers of Northern Uganda. Bell also supports the citizen education charity Declare Yourself as well as such famous charitable organizations CARE,PETA, and the Alzheimer's Association
"I believe empathy is our most critical impulse. Helping folks is what makes humans great. I'm just replying where I see my talents can help meet a current need, and I suspect we have got a duty to guard and love each otherArtivist embodies these principles and helps bridge the gap between awareness and action," Bell said.
Her altruistic attitude and legitimate energy during times like these of grotesque corporate greediness and shameful consumerism combine to place this globally known celebrity as a frontline Agent of Change for this the 1st generation of the 21st century. Kristen Bell is one of the new guides leading the way into the Other America.
Bell was so moved by her trip to war-stricken Northern Uganda she made a decision to co-design a necklace with the yoga-inspired line Satya Jewelry to benefit charity. The Acholi pendant is a peridot-stone set with a 24-karat golden necklace, named for the Acoli an ethnic group in Northerly Uganda. 100 percent of the takings benefit the charity Invisible Children , which aids the Acoli children of Uganda.
Last year on her 30th birthday she chose her important day to help in making a big difference by attracting funds to bring clean drinking water to beggared countries.
To the donors she wrote,"A billion folks in the world are getting by without clean water. Water-borne illness is the second highest cause of adolescence death in the world. NOT ON MY WATCH. 45,000 people will die this week alone from poisoned water diseases. Y'ALL, LETS GET OFF OUR HINEYS AND FIX THIS. Please help me get to my target of 100K and let's have a fresh water toast."
The Other America stands to Have a Cleaner Water Toast to our most recent advocate and this year's Artivist Award Honoree"Kristen Stewart.
