The new addition to the British Royal Family, Kate Middleton (Duchess of Cambridge) has shown a true fondness for scented candles. Recently Kate purchased 900 (nearly $1500) of scented candles to help freshen their apartment in Kensington Palace. The stuffy smell of their new apartment was disliked by Kate whilst William was more accustomed to the scent of the palace.

Kate felt the Palace had a heavy decayed, damp smell, and ordered a supply of her fave products to help to beat this. The perfumes Kate selected included lavender, sandalwood and moss-based smells. These scents come strongly recommended as I lately tested some stunning lavender and sandalwood smells from a UK company called Busy Bee Candles.
Busy Bee Candles (http://www.busybeecandles.co.uk) offer a huge range of fragrances and I have recently tested several of these in writing a series of articles about the growing scented candle trend around the world.
First on test for me was a large Lavender Pillow fragrance candle. Handmade in the UK and made from soy wax, this candle simply filled my entire home with the beautiful fragrance of relaxing lavender. Highly fragranced and burning for around 90 hours on test, this comes highly recommended by me (and in searching other reviews, by lots of other testers).
The second perfume I sampled from Busy Bee Candles was Antique Sandalwood. A fragile perfume and a bit more manly which I simply love. The Antique Sandalwood smell I tested was in a jumbo size with 2 wicks and it burned for over a hundred hours. Fabulous!
Used by the future King of Britain and his wife, I urge that you give these perfumes a try and bring warmth, colour, perfume and atmosphere to your house.
